Who We Are These terms and conditions govern the use of our online store and the purchase of products from us. We are Local is Lekker ZA Home & Decor, an online only ecommerce store specializing in South African artisan home and decor products. Our website address is localislekkerza.com. By using our website, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our website.

1. Registration and Account Security To use our online store, you must register and create an account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. We will ensure that any information you provide to us remains confidential and is not shared with any third parties without your permission. We undertake to immediately destroy your information should you choose to cancel your registration.

2. Product Information and Artisan Goods We sell artisan products in our online store that are handmade and unique. Because we source high quality, custom, and made to order goods, variations may occur due to the handmade nature of the items. We provide detailed product descriptions including the exact materials used.

We make every effort to provide accurate product descriptions and images, but slight variations in colour, size, and design from the product images displayed on our website are normal and are not considered defects. We do not guarantee that artisan products will be identical to the product images displayed, and we are not liable for any dissatisfaction arising from these handmade variations. Returns cannot be accepted on the basis that a customer assumed a different finish, size, or material if the product was accurately described on our website.

3. Payment Payment for products must be made at the time of purchase. We accept various secure payment methods, including Payfast, Yoco, and direct electronic funds transfer. The terms applicable to these payment providers are not a part of our terms, and therefore, any concerns or queries you may have in relation to these will have to be discussed with the party processing the payment. Should payment be reversed or not received, your products will not be delivered to you.

4. Shipping and Delivery We are solely an online shop and do not offer physical retail collections. We partner with trusted third party couriers such as The Courier Guy, Fastway, and BEX Express. We deliver anywhere within South Africa for a standard delivery charge of R120.00, and we offer free shipping on all orders over R1700.00. We do not deliver to PO Boxes, farms, plots, or deep rural areas, and we do not sell or ship overseas.

Processing and delivery times vary depending on whether the item is in stock, made on demand, or custom sized. Because we use third party delivery companies, we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date or time. Neither our couriers nor Local is Lekker ZA will be held liable for any losses or damages resulting from late deliveries. If you are not available to receive your parcel, a surcharge for redelivery may be raised by the courier.

5. Return and Refund Policy We have a specific policy that governs the return of products. Depending on the product category, returns are accepted within 7 or 14 days of delivery. Return courier fees apply and will be deducted from your refund, ranging from R150 to R300 depending on the item, or you may be responsible for your own return courier costs.

Certain goods are strictly exempt from being returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective. These include custom made and personalized products, sale items, and gift cards. Once production has begun on custom pieces, orders cannot be cancelled or exchanged. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted our full Exchanges and Returns Policy.

6. Damaged or Defective Items If your item arrives damaged due to transit, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery at accounts@localislekkerza.co.za with your order number and clear photographs of the damage. All products are sold with an implied warranty of quality in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act. Defective products reported within 6 months of receipt will be repaired, replaced, or refunded. This does not cover ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by failing to follow provided care instructions.

7. Intellectual Property All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is our property or the property of our licensors. Customers may not use, reproduce, or disseminate this content without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use of our online store or the purchase of products from us, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential damages. By accepting these terms, you confirm that you indemnify us, our employees, and our assigns for any damages or losses which may arise due to your use of this platform.

9. Age Restriction Our online store and the products sold on our website are intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using our website, you certify that you are at least 18 years old or have been assisted by a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders if we believe a customer has made a purchase without the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These terms are governed by the laws of The Republic of South Africa. Any queries or complaints should first be directed to our customer support team so we can attempt to resolve the matter amicably. In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved through discussion, we reserve the right to proceed with litigation which shall be instituted out of the relevant South African Court with jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted directly on our website.
