Shipping & Delivery Policy

Thank you for shopping at Local is Lekker ZA Home and Decor! Please read our shipping policies carefully to understand our costs, lead times, and procedures.

Where Do We Deliver?

Local is Lekker ZA currently ships within South Africa only.
Please note: We are an exclusively online store and no longer offer collections for any orders.
We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes, farms, plots, or deep rural areas.

Delivery Costs

  • Standard Delivery Charge: R99.00 anywhere in South Africa.

  • FREE Delivery: We offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders over R1700.00.


Processing & Delivery Times by Product Type

Because we source high-quality, made-to-order, and specialized goods, our processing times vary depending on the items in your cart.

1. General Home & Decor Items

  • In-Stock Items: Shipped within 1–2 business days.
  • Delivery to Main Centres: 2–3 days (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Kimberley, East London).
  • Delivery to Outlying Areas: 3–4 days (outer suburbs of major cities).
  • If an item is out of stock, it will be shipped within 1–2 days of us receiving the stock.

2. Wall Art & Gallery Frames (Made on Demand)
To ensure great quality and minimize environmental waste, all our artwork is manufactured on demand.

  • Custom Wall Art Posters: Processed within 2–3 business days before being shipped.
  • Hardwood Gallery Art Frames: Processed within 5–7 business days before being shipped.
  • Delivery: Approximately 72 hours (3 business days) once dispatched, depending on your region.
  • Order Changes: To reroute an artwork order to a new address, please contact us no more than 2 business days after placing the order. Changes to the actual product must be requested within 1 business day. Once processing is complete, we cannot cancel or change your order.

4. Printed Scatter Cushions

  • Covers Only: Made to order 2-3 weeks for production.
  • 2-3 days shipping once production complete

(Note: Our production studios and warehouses are closed on weekends, public holidays, and the festive season).

Monn Rugs

  • Standard Rug Sizes: Processed within 1–2 business days.
  • Custom Rug Sizes: Processed within 5–10 business days.

Order Tracking & Confirmation

As soon as your order has been packaged and leaves our warehouse/studio, we will send you an email notification containing your tracking/waybill number. We partner with trusted couriers such as The Courier Guy, Fastway, and BEX Express.
Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking information to become active on the courier's website.

If you haven’t received your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Special Instructions

  • You are welcome to add a personal note or special delivery instructions in the ‘Note’ section during checkout.

Important Disclaimers

  • Delays: We use third-party delivery companies and therefore cannot guarantee an exact delivery date or time. Extended delivery times may apply during severe weather events or heavy sale promotions (e.g., Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the Christmas season).

  • Liability: If our courier service is unable to meet the estimated delivery time, neither the courier nor Local is Lekker ZA will be held liable for any losses, liabilities, charges, costs, or damages resulting from the late delivery.

  • Failed Deliveries: If you are not available to receive your parcel at the provided address, a surcharge for re-delivery may be raised by the courier.
